Transportation Construction Coalition Fly-In
Joining together to advocate for smart transportation investments and federal policy
Each year, hundreds of Transportation Construction Coalition (TCC) members convene in Washington, D.C. for the annual TCC fly-in to meet directly with congressional offices and national transportation leaders. Together, they make the case for federal transportation policy and investments that strengthen America’s highways, roads, bridges, transit, safety programs, and multimodal infrastructure.
A Look Back at the 2026 TCC Fly-In
The 2026 fly-in came at a pivotal moment as Congress debates the next surface transportation bill before the current one expires on September 30.
More than 400 construction leaders, labor representatives, engineers, and infrastructure advocates attended the annual fly-in May 12-13 to press for a timely, bipartisan bill that protects current investment levels, adjusts for inflation, and improves project delivery.
The fly-in included remarks from U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Sean P. Duffy and House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Ranking Member Rick Larsen (D-Wash.), both underscoring the importance of sustained federal investment and planning certainty in transportation.
Over two days, advocates met with more than 100 congressional members and staff on both sides of the aisle, including Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), Rep. Rick Larsen (D-Wash.), Rep. Juan Ciscomani (R-Ariz.), Rep. Tom Cole (R-Okla.), Rep. Ed Case (D-Hawaii), Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-Tenn.), and Rep. Val Hoyle (D-Ore.), among others. Conversations centered on the next surface transportation bill and opportunities to improve safety, reduce congestion, and economic growth.
